It is with deeply saddened hearts that the family of Lewis McLean announced his passing on April 28, 2025, at Bluewater health at the age of 72. Lewis or simply Lew as many knew him is survived by his wife and best friend of 39 years Doris, and his loving and treasured daughters Jenny and Christina McLean, He was the proudest Papa of his three grandchildren Colin, Annie and Ayla. Also survived by his sister Helen Anderson; brothers Donald (the late June) and Robert (Sandy) McLean; longtime friend Jack (the late Kay) Rogerson and his family; the entire Maloney family; and the many cousins in Duntocher, Scotland. Also Liz (Alistair) Davidson and other nieces and nephews in Scotland and Canada. Lewis was predeceased by his beloved parents, Donald and Janet. His sister Netta, his brother Colin.

Lewis was born in Clydebank, Scotland and was a proudly devoted, lifelong supporter of the Glasgow Rangers FC. He enjoyed many early morning matches with his brother Donald via FaceTime and his fellow supporters from the Rangers club out of Sarnia at various venues over the years. He was an avid golfer and member of Greenwood Golf Course, the S.G.C.C, A champion dart player and longtime Freemason.

Lew's friends were a massively important part of his life, to not run the risk of forgetting anyone, we will just say he enjoyed spending time with each and every one of you; especially when a pint and a sing song were involved.

We also would like to extend a special Thank You to Dr Lilly and his team at The Palliative Care Unit. As well as his dedicated weekly nurse Mandy, who never failed to go above and beyond when it came to Lewis.

As per his wishes a cremation has taken place and he is set to return home to Scotland. A celebration of Lewis' life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through donations to St. Joseph's Hospice or Bluewater Health - Palliative Care (cheques only at the funeral home please).
