With great sadness, the family of Jeri Holmes McLaughlin (nee Cascagnette) announces her death at the age of 67 on November 27, 2024 in Sarnia, after a lengthy illness.

Survived by husband Pat McLaughlin; son Michael Holmes, daughter-in-law Stephanie Santiago, and grand-daughter Aubrey; 'step-monster' to daughter Amy McLaughlin and son-in-law Alexander Niestroj; son and daughter-in-law Zach and Jamie McLaughlin; sisters (sisters, never were there such devoted sisters…) Laurie Colbran (Cliff), Barb Taylor (John), and Kathie MacPhail (Geoff); many nieces and nephews; father-in-law Donald Holmes; and Charlie the cat.

Predeceased by husband Jeff Holmes (Sarnia); parents Jerry and Mary Cascagnette (Strathroy); brother Neil (Ottawa); and sister Alice (Mount Brydges).

An avid reader, great conversationalist, excellent euchre player, and devoted Nana. Always ready with an open door, a glass of wine, and a trusted ear. Jeri will be remembered by family, friends, and neighbours as the life of the party and a key member of the ‘Red Umbrella Society’ of Sebring, Florida.

Jeri was proud to be the volunteer coordinator at The Inn of the Good Shepherd for many years.

Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of lasagna, memorial donations to, or volunteer hours at the Inn of the Good Shepherd or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
