It is with both heavy hearts and deep love that we announce the passing of Michelle Merriellen Harris (nee Hull), who left this world far too soon at the age of 51, surrounded by her loving family in her home on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.
Michelle was the cherished wife of George Peters for 10 years, a union built on love, laughter, and countless memories. George will forever carry with him the moments they shared, from cruises to Mexico, Belize, and Aruba, basking in the sun and exploring the beauty and culture of each destination. There will never be enough time, but their love and the memories they created in those 10 short years will be treasured always.
She was the devoted daughter of Margaret and the late William “Butch” Hull, and stepdaughter to the late Bob Loosemore. Michelle was also the proud and loving mother to Adam (Danielle) Harris and Emily (Ryan George) Harris, whose hearts are broken by her passing. Michelle found pure joy in being a grandmother to her beloved Grayson, whose smiles and laughter brightened her days. She was proud to call herself the sister of Michael (Randi) Hull and the late Loretta (1973), who she loved with all her heart. Michelle’s love for family extended far and wide—she was Aunt Haw to Sara (Nic) Bogaart, Amy (Derrick) Ricciotti, and Kamryn and Rhyan Hull, and a great aunt to Owen and Scarlett Ricciotti. She was deeply loved by George’s parents, Henry and Elizabeth Peters, as well as his siblings Tina (John) Wolf and Lisa (Jake) Wolf and their families, who all will miss her dearly.
Michelle was known for her unshakable determination, her ability to find joy in the little things, and her love of life. Her passion for travel was matched only by her love of baseball—particularly her beloved Toronto Blue Jays. Michelle had a zest for adventure, whether it was enjoying the great outdoors on camping trips or simply spending time with those she loved. Above all, she adored her family and found great joy in making memories with them, especially with her grandson, Grayson, showering him with affection at every opportunity.
She never turned down a good laugh and was always ready for a bit of mischief, often performing playful antics (those who know, know) that would leave everyone in stitches. Her infectious laugh and bright spirit will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
While Michelle’s time with us was far too short, the impact she made on the lives of her family and friends is immeasurable. Her legacy of love, joy, and cherished memories will live on in the hearts of all who loved her. There will forever be an empty space where she once stood, but her memory will remain a beacon of warmth and love for all who were fortunate enough to share in her life.
A celebration of Michelle’s life will be held on Sunday, February 23, 2025, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Wyoming Lions Hall, 554 Main St., Wyoming.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation for Diabetes care and Rehabilitation Program (https://www.sjhc.london.on.ca/ways-to-give/donate-now), an organization close to Michelle’s heart.
May Michelle’s soul rest in peace, and may her love continue to surround her family forever.
