Province doles out main street funding

Sarnia is getting nearly $89,000 for “main street” revitalization. The province says the money can be used to enhance or revitalize downtowns and main street areas, either through new public infrastructure or capital improvements to small businesses.

The province says the money can be used to enhance or revitalize downtowns and main street areas, either through new public infrastructure or capital improvements to small businesses.

City staff are reviewing what projects might fit the program and will report back once more details are announced.

The city’s share of the funding from the $26-million initiative was based on population size.
