The Sarnia Braves came up short in the Southwestern Ontario Baseball League final, bowing in the fifth and deciding game to Strathroy last week.

After losing the opener, Sarnia rebounded with a pair of victories but lost games four and five to the Royals, including 2-0 in the final game.

But the season isn’t over for the Braves, who will compete in the Michigan Cup tournament next weekend.

The Braves finished in the top three in all but one of the past four years at the tournament.
