Three more businesses have been spray-painted with graffiti, Sarnia police say. The buildings on Ontario and Mitton streets were defaced last week with the words “What’s the key for?” in blue paint.

City hall is getting $75,000 in federal support for a system to monitor the flow in and out Sarnia’s 56 pumping stations. The improvement will allow city staff to step in quickly to reduce the size of wastewater overflows and bypasses to the St.

Another cat shot

Sarnia Police are investigating another cat shooting. A cat in the area of Lansdowne and Devine streets was shot in the face with a pellet gun sometime around July 12, police said. A veterinarian treated the animal and removed the pellet.

A blue box for all

How’s this for a deal? Buy or build a new home and get a free blue box. Sarnia is one of the few municipalities in Ontario that doesn’t provide blue boxes to new residents.
