SCITS students took to the streets last week to help ease hunger in Sarnia.

More than 500 teens formed a human chain to transport 2,400 pounds of donated food from the front steps of the school to the Inn of the Good Shepherd.

“It’s a very generous and supportive thing that they did for the Inn,” said operations manager Adelle Richards.

The food bank and soup kitchen counts on the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays to drum up donations to restock shelves after a tight summer season, she added.
