Donald Mervyn Cox passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, on November 3, 2026.

Beloved husband of 58 years to Ruth Anne (née McLachlin). Loving father of Dwayne (Jill), Dean (Melissa), and Dana, and proud grandfather of Matthew (Natasha). Dear brother-in-law of Clare (Donna), the late Wayne (Nancy), and Alec (Patti). Don will also be fondly remembered by his cherished lifelong friend, Linda Addy. Predeceased by his parents Mervyn and Vera.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the many doctors, nurses, and caregivers who provided Don with compassion, care, and support throughout his journey. A special thank you is also extended to the many friends who offered kindness, comfort, and unwavering support to both Don and Ruth Anne during this time.

In keeping with Don’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and no formal services will be held.

In Don’s memory, donations may be made to Bluewater Health Palliative Care or a charity of your choice.
