Thomas Earl Brown passed away peacefully on October 29, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, and love.
Born and raised in Sarnia, Tom began his career with Boilermakers Local 128 in 1965. A hardworking, honest, and kind-hearted man, Tom was known for his adventurous spirit, creative talents, and willingness to lend a helping hand. He was a devoted family man and a treasured friend to many.
In their younger years, Tom and his beloved wife, Lorraine, shared a love of adventure. Together, they enjoyed memorable trips to Alaska and attended many car shows with Tom’s cherished 1928 Ford Roadster before settling down to raise their family. Tom spent two summers in Alaska, in 1975 and 1977, prospecting for gold, where he successfully struck gold and enjoyed some wonderful fishing along the way.
A talented woodworker, carpenter, and all-around handyman, Tom could build or fix just about anything. He took great pride in his intricate intarsia wood art and loved spending time gardening, maintaining his yard, and working on projects around the house. When he wasn’t busy creating something, he enjoyed relaxing with a good movie. Above all, Tom will be remembered for his generosity, kindness, and the way he made those around him feel valued and supported.
Tom was the beloved husband of Lorraine for over 50 years. Loving father of Sherry (Thomas), Todd (Gina), and Terri (Trevor). Proud grandfather of Brittney (Chris), Jessie, and Eric, and great-grandfather of Noah and Aleeyah. Tom was predeceased by his parents, Jim and Kathleen Brown, and his sister, Sue.
The family would like to sincerely thank the staff on the 3rd and 5th floors at Bluewater Health for their compassion, care, and support during this time.
In honour of Tom’s memory, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Sarnia-Lambton.
Family and friends are invited to share a memory, story, or message of condolence on the Tribute Wall.
