Norine Mae Loxton

It is sadness, our family announces the passing of Norine Mae (Hales) Loxton, age 92 at Bluewater Health-Sarnia on Saturday, October 3rd, 2026. She was the dear wife of the late James Frank Loxton (2007) and was the loving mother of: Jim, Michael, Brian (Lynda), Barry (Debbie, George (Laurie), Tom (Julie), grandmother and great-grandmother of several children

She was predeceased by her parents William & Mazy Hales, companion Wilf Raymer who she missed deeply. Norine worked at Ovens Bakery at the counter and for Warren Groombridge at the egg shop on Russell Street.

Shopping for clothes and shoes loved the thrift stores she would see something and think of someone else and buy that item to give to them, going under the bridge and watching the ships go by, telling jokes she always had a new joke to tell, most of all she loved going out for Friday lunches with the special group of women from her church who became very close friends and enjoyed going to Sarnia Evangelical Missionary Church

The family would like to thank all the medical staff at Bluewater Health for the care she had while there also at Sumac Lodge for the care she received there as well. We would also like to thank Pastor Deve Persad and her church family for all the prayers. A special thanks also goes out to Gail Johnston, her friend and roommate at Sumac Lodge. Charitable donations made to Heart & Stroke Foundation through https://www.heartandstroke.ca/  or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, October 16th, 2026, beginning at 12 noon and followed by a celebration of Norine’s life at 1:00 pm.

The arrangements are entrusted to the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N. Victoria St, Sarnia, ON, N7T SW9). Memories and messages of condolence may be sent through www.djrobb.on.ca
