Peacefully, surrounded by loving family on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at LHSC-University Hospital, Joan LeBrasceur passed away at the age of 81.

Beloved wife of Bud LeBrasceur for over 60 years. Loving mother of Rob (Tracey), Anne, Mike (Teri) and Kerry. Treasured grandmother of Alexandra, Kennedi, Lindy and Riley. Joan will be missed by her dog Nash. Predeceased by her parents William and Winnifred Carroll, and brother Billy Carroll.

Joan spent much of her time helping the Sarnia-Lambton community, whether it was through her work with Lambton Elderly Outreach or playing for local nursing homes with her band “Red Wing”.

Family and friends will be received at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery, Sarnia. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Sarnia and District Humane Society (cheques only at the funeral home please).
