Peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, Anna Maria (n. Fazio) Ferrera passed away at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Giovanni Ferrera (2014). Loving mother of Tony, Frank (Lisa) and Angelo. Cherished Nonna of Justin (Lisa), Andrew, Jeremy (Karleen), Christopher (Darian), Amy (Cameron) and Matthew (Lindsay). Treasured great Nonna of Mya, Alex, Leah, Giovanni, Micah, Rosie, Marco, Hadley, Jonah, and Lucia. Dear sister of the late Mario (Pasqualina) Fazio, Antonio (Anna) Fazio, the late Gina (Natale) Martini, and the late Pasquale (Norma Lynn) Fazio and sister-in-law of Angela (the late Luigi) Ferri, and Lucia (Felice) Mazzoni. Predeceased by her parents Pietro and Serafina Fazio and father and mother-in-law Felice and Michela Ferrera. Anna was a longtime member of the Dante Club, Catholic Church and The Catholic Church Women’s League. She was an avid bocce and card player but above all else, she was a devoted and loving mother and Nonna.

Family and friends will be received at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Monday, October 19th, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Benedicts Roman Catholic Church, 1011 Oak Avenue, Sarnia, on Tuesday, October 20th, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with entombment to follow at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery, Sarnia. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to The Canadian Red Cross (cheques only when donating at the funeral home please).
