Passed away peacefully at Afton Park Place at the age of 74 after her long journey with dementia. Carolyn was best friend and beloved wife of Jim for 52 years. Loving mother of Paula Brown (Dave Hillier). Dear sister of JoAnn Todd (Dennis), Pam McTeer (Doug) and sister-in-law of Judy Spencer (Bill), along with several nieces and nephews. Carolyn retired from the Lambton Kent District School Board after a 33 year career as an elementary school teacher. Carolyn will be remembered for her expertise in various crafts, knitting, sewing, crocheting, cooking, and the love of reading books. A special thank you to the staff at Afton Park Place for their care, patience, and support over the past nine years. A sincere thank you to Dr. William O’Mahony for his genuine care. In keeping with Carolyn’s wishes, a private family service will be held with interment in Blackwell Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through donations to Literacy Lambton Give A Book or a local charity of your choice (cheques only at the funeral home please).
