A nuSarnia documentary developed in partnership with TMRRW Inc. was recognized recently at the Detroit Better Cities Film Festival.
The film, ‘A New Path: The Journey Towards A Connected Sarnia’ won the Better Transportation Award at the event, held annually to screen inspiring stories about making cities, towns and neighbourhoods better.
The film showcases the journey of nuSarnia, a group of local residents committed to enhancing the health, activity, and connectedness in their hometown.
"TMRRW Inc. was a fantastic partner on this project, and beautifully captured the story we wanted to tell,” said Tristan Bassett, executive director of nuSarnia. “It's been really exciting to see Sarnia being recognized at a larger scale.
“Because our film was selected for the festival, we've connected with many other community groups doing similar things in their own hometowns, and it's really opened up great conversations on how people can come together and create positive changes in the communities they live in."

"Our team is thrilled to see the recognition for our work,” said Liwordson Vijayabalan, president of TMRRW Inc. “Storytelling is the best way to promote powerful messages, just like the vision nuSarnia has for our community.
“Their team was so open-minded and took a chance with us when we pitched this project. So it's obviously really great to see how it all worked out.”
