It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Dorothy Loretta White, affectionately known as “Dodi,” who completed her 69th trip around the sun on October 30, 2026, at Bluewater Health, surrounded by family and friends who loved her dearly.
Reunited with her parents, Ray and Pat White, and her siblings Cheryl, Ross, Sharon and John, who predeceased her.
Dodi leaves behind her loving daughter, Lacey, and son-in-law, Steven; her shared son, Kyle; and her beloved fur baby, Bowie.
She was the proud and loving GramBo to Jaden and Grandma to Gavin, who brought her endless love and joy.
Dodi also leaves behind her whole ‘famn damily’: Norma (Tony), Robert (April), Trish, Raymbo, Roggie, Verlynn (Ron Baa), and Richard, along with many cherished cousins, nieces and nephews. She will also be deeply missed by her beloved Shopping Bags ladies, whose friendship, laughter and adventures meant so much to her.
If you knew Dodi, you knew she was always the life of the party. She never needed much of an excuse to celebrate and was always ready for her next adventure. In fact, her bags were likely packed before you had even finished extending the invitation! Whether it was a gathering with family, time with friends, or another vacation waiting to happen, Dodi knew how to make memories, bring people together and fill a room with laughter.
Dodi lived life her way, loved her people fiercely and never missed an opportunity for a little fun. Her larger-than-life personality, unforgettable spirit and special brand of Dodi magic will be missed more than words can say.
Family and friends are invited to join us for the Dayzz of Doowah, to celebrate a life that was anything but ordinary, Tuesday, November 3rd, 2026, at SFH – McKenzie Blundy Chapel with visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Come ready to share stories, laughter, memories and, of course, a little Doowah!
Until we meet again, Dodi. Keep those bags packed.
Cremation has taken place, as she would say, this was her last chance for a smokin’ hot body.
Sympathy may be expressed through donations to a Aamjiwnaang Food Bank (cheques only at the funeral home please). Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
