Sarnia will require enhancing proof of vaccination in the New Year.

Effective Jan. 4, all indoor recreational facilities that require proof of COVID-19 vaccination — including city arenas and the Strangway Centre — will require an Ontario enhanced vaccine certificate with QR code.

The QR code can be used digitally or by printing a paper copy.

The enhanced certificated can be download at https://covid-19.ontario.ca/book-vaccine/, by visiting the local library, or by calling the vaccine contact centre at 1-833-943-3900.

Those with medical exemptions will require a certificate with QR code starting Jan. 10, when physician notes will no longer be accepted.

Identification will still be required in addition to a certificate with QR code.
