Have a gently used bed you don’t know what to do with?
NeighbourLink Sarnia-Lambton has a long waiting list of people in need of a bed, including many who are sleeping on a floor or couch.
To help meet the need, the agency is holding a bed drive on Saturday, July 9, when volunteers will pick up beds and bedding throughout the community from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, then distribute them for free.
Last year, volunteers collected more than 800 box springs and mattresses throughout the year, but the storage room is currently empty.
NeighbourLink is a volunteer-based, non-profit organization that supports families in Sarnia-Lambton.
