Conservative Party Leader Andrew Scheer has given Marilyn Gladu a new job in the shadow cabinet of Canada’s Official Opposition.
The MP for Sarnia-Lambton is now the Shadow Minister of Health, where she is in charge of holding the Trudeau government to account on health-related issues.
Gladu had served as Science Critic under interim party leader Rona Ambrose.
Gladu said she looks forward to meeting with health stakeholders and is already planning a series of meetings in coming weeks.
Her private member’s bill on palliative care received unanimous support in the House of Commons and is currently under review in the Senate.
