When teachers Jim Boyes and Linda Roy took a Grade 6 class from High Park School to Goderich in 1968 the field trip came with the added bonus of meeting three autograph-signing National Hockey League players: Paul Henderson of the Detroit Red Wings, centre, Larry Jeffrey of the New York Rangers, and Gary Doak, right, of the Boston Bruins.

The three students in the front row left are, from left, Robert Armstrong, Dave Weiss and Roy Brouwer.

The quartet on the right are, Debbie Payne, Cheryl Reeve, Debbie Peters and Glenn Sauve.
