Coronavirus update for Saturday, April 25

Sarnia-Lambton had 165 confirmed cases of COVID-19 as of 11:30 p.m. Friday, Lambton Public Health reports, an increase of six cases from Thursday.

The number of deaths is unchanged at 14, and the number of people who have recovered has risen to 73.

Lambton Meadowview Villa is no longer listed as a long-term care home with an outbreak.

The 14-day isolation period at the Petrolia home has passed. No new positive cases have been identified, and none of the residents or members of the staff are showing symptoms of the virus.

However, a new outbreak has been declared at Vision Nursing Home in Sarnia, where two members of the long-term care home have the virus that causes COVID-19

The other senior facility outbreak is at Landmark Village, where 30 residents have tested positive with six deaths. Nine staff members of the Sarnia retirement home have tested positive.
