Sting fall to Knights in Game 2 of OHL Conference Finals

The Sarnia Sting fell 3-1 to the London Knights Sunday at Budweiser Gardens in Game 2 of the OHL Western Conference Championship Series.

The game remained scoreless through two periods until Easton Cowan made it 1-0 for the Knights; followed by a goal from Ethan Ritchie with 7:26 remaining in the third, to tie things up.

London’s Logan Mailloux fired back with just 3:32 left in the game, to regain the lead, before Ryan Winterton scored an empty-netter for the 3-1 final.

London now leads the series 2-0 following a 4-1 win at Budweiser Gardens, Friday.

The series shifts to Sarnia’s Progressive Auto Sales Arena (PASA) for games 3 and 4, Tuesday, May 2 (7:05 p.m.) and Wednesday, May 3 (7 p.m.).

If necessary, game 5 will return to Budweiser Gardens; game 6 in Sarnia, and game 7 in London.
