More than 30 teams from across Ontario and Michigan will make their way to the Sarnia Golf & Curling Club this weekend for the 93rd annual Imperial Bonspiel.

The event, running Friday through Sunday, is open to both men and women for the first time, the club said in a news release, adding that there’s also a number of mixed-combination teams, with 128 players in total.

“Many past champions are also in the field to compete for the 2024 Imperial Bonspiel Title,” the club noted. “Last year’s Open Division champion team, skipped by Heath McCormick of Sarnia Golf & Curling Club, are back to defend their title.
