Jr. Lady Sting bring home Winter Classic gold

This past weekend, the U13 Sarnia Jr. Lady Sting won the championship at the Mississauga Hurricanes Winter Classic.

This past weekend, the U13 Sarnia Jr. Lady Sting won the championship at the Mississauga Hurricanes Winter Classic.

They had a great start on Friday with impressive wins over the Oakville Hornets and Orangeville Tigers 2, scoring 4-1 and 5-0 respectively.

On Saturday, they had a couple of closer games but managed to end the round with 2-1 wins against Orangeville Tigers and the hosts Hurricanes.

On championship Sunday, the Lady Sting won the semifinal against the Etobicoke Dolphins 7-2. They then went on to play against the Orangeville Tigers for the gold medal game. The Sting emerged victorious with a 3-0 win, earning them the championship title.  

The team exhibited exceptional dedication and effort, pouring their hearts into each game and leaving everything on the ice.
