Sarnia has been shortlisted as a stop on the Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour this winter.
Hosted by Ron MacLean, the two-day celebration of everything hockey will visit 24 Canadian communities during the coming NHL season. The free outdoor hockey festivities culminate in an outdoor viewing party of a live NHL broadcast.
This winter, episodes will air Sunday nights on Sportsnet.
Sarnia agreed recently to sign a letter of agreement with Rogers Media Inc.
If confirmed, the tentative dates for the event would be Dec. 19 and 20.
