The coaching staff of the Mooretown Flags, led by rookie bench boss Doug Slipacoff, won the Coaching Staff of the Year Award at the recent Great Lakes Junior “C” Hockey League banquet.
The Flags finished fourth in the nine-team league, moving up four spots over last season and improving by 11 points in the standings.
Mooretown is currently playing Lakeshore in the first round of the playoffs.
Their next home game for the Flags is Saturday at the Moore Sports Complex at 7:30 pm.
