Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Linda Jane Henry passed away at the age of 75. Beloved wife of Douglas Henry for 56 years. Loving mother of Robin Henry, Tammy Henry, and Stephanie Henry. Cherished grandmother of Dakota, Dylan, Jenna-Rose, Amber, Jalena, Jasmine, and Najee. Treasured great-grandmother of Dae’Wan, Aniya, and Aria. Dear sister of Diana Dreery and Sandra Teahen. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents James and Thursa Temple, brother Jimmy Temple, sister Marlene (John) Vander Raadt, and brothers-in-law Ron Dreery and Eugene Teahen. Linda loved spending time outdoors, especially tending to her garden, walking on the beach collecting sea glass, and taking long nature walks. She was a talented charcoal artist and also loved to create pictures and drawings for her children to colour.
A funeral service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation being held one hour prior from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Interment at Lakeview Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice or Caregivers of Petrolia Ferals (cheques only at the funeral home please).
