We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Clifford Gordon English, at his home in Sarnia February12th, 2024 at the age of 85. Beloved Husband of Joan Beverly English (nee Payne) for 62 years. Predeceased by his Mother Mildred English (2003), Father Gordon English and Brother Harold. Loving, Caring Father to his Son and Daughter Christopher and Laurie English, and Daughter-in-law Joanne English. Cherished and Devoted Grandfather to Derek, Heather, Brian, Daniel, Sarah, and Kelsey, and Great Grandchildren, Hanna, Lilyan, Carter, and Parker. Also survived by many Nieces and Nephews. Cliff was a Veteran of the American Army and served in Korea. He was a very hard worker, even after he retired, he was always a man on the go. He loved to putter about and was exceptional at building as well as fixing things. Cliff loved to spend time on the water fishing, enjoyed the outdoors, puttering in his garden, playing solitaire on his computer. And spending time with his faithful and loving rottweiler Ava, his Baby as he called her and she will miss him. Being a Grandpa came naturally to Cliff and he never hesitated to spend time with his Grandchildren, teaching them how to build things. He had exceptional patience and loved every special moment with his Grandchildren. There was so much more to him than just Dad, but that was his greatest role. He was also a Friend, Handyman, Artist and the list goes on. Our loss has left a hole in our lives, but he filled all our lives with so many wonderful memories. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date. Remembrances and condolences may be expressed to the family online in “Clifford’s Guestbook” at mccormackfuneralhomesarnia.com. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Alzheimer's Society or a Charity of your choice.
