For it has pleased the Lord to take Alan Brewster, servant of the Most High God, unto Himself on Friday, March 29, 2024. He is now free of all earthly ties and stands in the congregation of the redeemed that have gone before him. Alan was the beloved husband of Murlene Ann Brewster (Pinkerton) (nee Fell). After Alan emigrated from England to Canada, they were united in the covenant of holy matrimony where they both pledged their troth to God and to each other on January 31, 2009 in Banff, Alberta, Canada. Although Alan faced many struggles in this life, with God’s help, he persevered to live life to the best of his ability. Alan completed his Bachelor of Science degree with honours in July, 1997 at Coventry University, in Coventry, England. In August, 1998 Alan completed a postgraduate certification in education (PGCE) at the University of Leicester, in Leicester, England and in November, 2004 he completed his Master of Arts at the University of Nottingham, in Nottingham, England. Over the course of his career as a teacher he taught English, Maths, Geography and Special Needs Education to children. He also taught young offenders at Rainsbrook Secure Training Centre in Warwickshire, England. Alan owned his own roofing company, was a mine worker and administrator for Barclays Bank. He was also an author where he found joy in relaying God’s truth through his writings.

Alan was born June 6, 1950 in Llanfrechfa Grange Hospital in Pontypool, Monmouthshire, UK and died peacefully on March 29, 2024 at Bluewater Health (Palliative Care), Sarnia, ON, Canada. He married Murlene Ann Pinkerton (nee Fell) on January 31, 2009 at Banff, Alberta, Canada. Dear father of Russell Cerwyn Brewster (Sarah) of Burbage Hinckley, England, UK and Lisa Jane Brewster of Cosby, Leicester, England, UK. Stepfather of David Thomas William Pinkerton (Sonya) of Calgary, Alberta and Rebekah Ann Dziedziura of Calgary, Alberta. He was the grandfather of Melissa Mae Brewster, Hollie Megan Brewster, Oscar George Brewster and step-grandfather of Sydney RosÄ™ Chhuor, Sophia Haley Chhuor, Owen Alexander Dziedziura and Everly Grace Dziedziura. Brother to Diane Brewster (Trevor) of Sutton Ashfield, Mansfield, Notts., England, UK and Clive Brewster of Newport, Wales, UK. Brother-in-law of Bonnie Fell Facca (Carlo) Sarnia, ON, William Fell (Barb) of Petrolia, ON and Dianne Hunt (Ian) of Point Edward, ON. Predeceased by father Ronald Brewster, mother Lilian Brewster, special great aunt Winnifred Jones (Baptist Chapel - Newbridge, Wales, UK) and brother-in-law Antonio DiBrita (2011). He is fondly remembered by cousin Maureen Hughes of Newbridge, Wales, UK and former spouse Denise Brewster. Special friend of Marva Barr of Birmingham, England, UK. who he met at Rainsbrook Secure Training Centre when they both were teaching at the prison. Alan had a special place in his heart for the congregation at Beit Yeshua Hamashiach (formerly Eitz Chaim) in London, ON, Canada.

A private service will be held. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Canadian Mental Health, Canadian Cancer Society or Beit Yeshua Hamashiach in remembrance of Alan (cheques only at the funeral home please).
