Fred Boonstra was taken home to be with our Lord on February 8, 2024 in his 92nd year. Fred was predeceased by his loving wife Sylvia (2021) and will be deeply missed by his children John Boonstra (Manina von Boltenstern), Emily Brown (nee Boonstra) (James Brown), Paul Boonstra, Calvin Boonstra (Michelle Boonstra), his grandchildren, Amanda, Christian, Makayla, Daniel, Belinda, Francis, Brandon, Matthew, Kaitlyn, and his siblings Morris Boonstra and Ron Boonstra. A funeral service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Monday, February 12, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation held one hour prior from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. A live stream of the funeral service will be available on Fred’s memorial page on the Smith Funeral Home website at service time. Interment to follow at Blackwell Cemetery.
