Woman, 26, arrested in stabbing incident

A 26-year-old woman was arrested this week following a stabbing in Sarnia, police say.

According to a news release issued Friday, Dec. 1, police responded to the incident sometime overnight.

“A female party was the victim of a stabbing, in which she sustained a significant wound to her forehead. The victim also suffered wounds to her eyebrow and hand,” police said.

The female suspect faces charges of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and uttering threats to cause death.

“Due to the sensitive nature of the incident involving Intimate Partner Violence, the identity of the arrested party will not be disclosed,” police added. “The Sarnia Police Service underscores its dedication to supporting those affected by intimate partner violence.
