The chair of Sarnia’s Celebration of Lights says volunteers and vehicles are needed for this weekend’s tear-down of the popular holiday displays in Centennial Park.

“We need about 100 people and several trucks and trailers to help transport our displays around the corner to our storage units at Sandrin Services,” said Dean Holtz.

The annual ‘community tear-down day’ takes place Saturday, Jan. 13 at Centennial Park behind the Agora staging area. Registration is a 9 a.m. and refreshments will be provided.

“Students are most welcome and we'll gladly sign for your volunteer hours,” Holtz added. "We just ask that you bring your volunteer hour sheet.

“We do require that all minors (under 18) be accompanied by an adult to ensure a safe environment for everyone.”
