One more person has contracted COVID-19, bringing the total number infected so far to 319, Lambton Public Health said this morning.
Two more people in Sarnia-Lambton have recovered from the virus, lowering the number of active cases to 24.
The active case count had been as low as 2 but began rising again three weeks ago. On Friday, 27 people were infect and self-isolating with the virus.
Some of the recent cases are from rural parts of Lambton County, the health unit says. Rural cases have increased by four percentage points to 30% of the total caseload, with a corresponding decrease in the urban area. More specific geographic data is not available.
Bluewater Health has zero COVID-19 patients today, and no one has been treated at the hospital or tested positive for the virus there since mid-June.
Ontario this morning has 116 new confirmed cases, with a total of 39,449 to far, Public Health Ontario said.
