Three charged in drug raids in Sarnia, Corunna

Three people were arrested after a pair of drug raids in Lambton County last week.

Lambton OPP say a drug trafficking investigation involving the Community Streets Crimes Unit (CSCU) led to the execution of search warrants at two residences on Friday, Feb. 9 — one, on Cameron Street in Corunna; the other on Ryan Street in Sarnia.

The OPP were assisted by members of the Middlesex OPP CSCU, Essex OPP CSCU, Sarnia Police Service VICE Unit and Emergency Response Team (ERT).

“A quantity of suspected fentanyl and cocaine were located, along with other drug trafficking paraphernalia and cash, with an estimated value of over $21,800,” Lambton OPP said in a news release.

The charges include:

A 33-year-old from Corunna has been charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking (two counts).

A 30-year-old from Toronto, has been charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking.

A 32-year-old from Toronto has been charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule 1 substance and,
  • Failure to comply with probation order.
