Sarnia man, 45, charged with drug trafficking

A 45-year-old Sarnia man was arrested and faces drug related charges following an investigation by the Sarnia Police vice unit.

Police say they were investigating an individual for trafficking methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl from an address in the 200 block of Vidal Street south.

On Jan. 30, officers were granted a search warrant and entered the address around 4 p.m., along with members of the emergency response unit.

During the search, the accused returned home and was taken into custody.

Police seized more than 68 grams of methamphetamine, worth a street value of $3,400; 1.65 grams of fentanyl worth $288 and some $7,600 in Canadian currency.

The man faces  two counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking. 

His next court date will be on March 8, 2023, at 9:30 a.m. in Sarnia.
