Hundreds of tourism stakeholders from across the region will make their way to Sarnia-Lambton next year for the 2024 Southern Ontario Tourism Conference, officials announced recently.

“Tourism Sarnia-Lambton is very excited to be hosting this incredible conference, as [it] provides an amazing opportunity to welcome our tourism and economic leaders, partners, and stakeholders, as we showcase all that Sarnia-Lambton has to offer,” said TSL executive director Mark Perrin. “Sarnia-Lambton offers visitors a rich variety of entertainment, adventures, pristine lake and river views and a wellspring of natural beauty and discoveries.”

The event, through a partnership with the Southwest Ontario Tourism Corporation (Regional Tourism Organization 1) and the Hamilton Brant Regional Tourism Association (Regional Tourism Organization 3) will be held March 4-6, 2024.

“In Ontario, the tourism industry generates an annual economic revenue of $36 billion, employing nearly 27,000 across our two regions alone,” said Joanne Wolnik, executive director, Southwest Ontario Tourism Corporation.

The event is open to all individuals directly involved or interested in the tourism and hospitality industry, including stakeholders of the tourism industry, business owners and employees, investors, college and university students, industry consultants, municipal and provincial government officials, and more.

“The Southern Ontario Tourism Conference addresses key issues and opportunities that Ontario’s tourism industry is currently facing,” added Maria Fortunato, executive director, Hamilton Brant Regional Tourism Association.
