Three Sarnia beaches will be cleaned of litter on Saturday in preparation for the planting of native dune grasses.
Volunteers will be given gloves, bags and refreshments, and are asked to wear closed-toe shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather. Sign up is at www.shorelinecleanup.ca
Colborne Road will be the first beach tackled on Sept. 27, starting at 10 a.m. followed by Modeland and Blackwell.
Sarnia has received provincial funding to plant five beaches with dune-stabilizing grasses in November.
