A section of Euphemia Street in Sarnia was reopened Tuesday afternoon following a weapons complaint, Sarnia Police said.
Officers responded shortly after 10 a.m. to the 100 block of Euphemia St. South, where a man was reportedly seen carrying a firearm, and the public was advised to avoid the area.
“Uniform Patrol Officers and Emergency Response Team Officers attended and contained the area within minutes,” a news release noted. “As a result of the investigative effort both at and behind the scenes, a male was quickly located and arrested.
“The matter is still under investigation at this time.”
