Two public meetings are scheduled this month to discuss the 2024 Sarnia Police budget.

“The Sarnia Police Service’s Board is currently developing the 2024 SPS Budget. This process continues to be guided by the extensive public consultations done in 2022 to develop the 2023-2025 Strategic Plan,” a news release stated.

The sessions, hosted by board chair Paul Wiersma and Chief Derek Davis, will provide the community “with an opportunity to directly hear the needs, challenges, and constraints behind the next budget process,” Sarnia Police added.

Sessions are scheduled for Sept. 7 at the Pat Stapleton Arena, beginning at 6:30; and Sept. 12 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, (390 Christina Street) beginning at 6:30 p.m.
