A groundbreaking ceremony was held last week for a Habitat for Humanity home in Corunna, the agency’s first “downriver” build.

The two-bedroom home at 411 Murray St. will be the fifth built in partnership between Habitat and Lambton County Developmental Services.

Going up on land donated by Nadine and Doug Lasenby, the project will provide individuals receiving Ontario Works experience and employable skills, and involve almost 150 other volunteers involved in hands-on work and fundraising.
