A new program to foster innovative tourism ideas is now taking applications.
“Spark” will provide three winning applicants with a tourism mentor and $3,000 to move a good tourism idea to the next level of development.
The goal is to enhance existing tourism assets in Sarnia-Lambton, address gaps, motivate longer stays, and increase visits year-round.
Applications are being accepted until Jan. 15 from individuals, small businesses and non-profit organizations based in Sarnia-Lambton.
The top applicants will be invited to a finalists’ pitch session in February.
Spark is organized by the Ontario Tourism Innovation Lab and Tourism Sarnia-Lambton, in collaboration with Southwest Ontario Tourism Corporation, Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership, Waterfront Regeneration Trust, Libro Credit Union, and Sarnia Lambton Workforce Development Board.
