The Lambton Lion’s women’s basketball team is looking for a new head coach.
David Elsley, who held the position for the past year, is not returning for the 2017-18 season and the search for a replacement has begun, said John Faragher, athletics co-ordinator at Lambton College.
“We wish Dave the best of success in all of his future athletic endeavors.”
Before taking over as head coach in January of 2016 Elsley, a teacher at St. Patrick’s High School, spent two seasons as assistant coach of Lambton’s men’s basketball team.
“It's been an extremely rewarding experience and I've learned a great deal,” said Elsley, who plans to pursue a coaching position with the St. Pat’s senior boys team.
