Members of Climate Action Sarnia-Lambton (CASL) are inviting the public to Sarnia’s Waterfront this month for a rally calling for action on climate change.
The “Citizens for Climate Action Rally” will be held Saturday, Sept. 16 at 2 p.m. at the Centennial Park Flag Court, and includes guest speakers Marilyn Gladu, CASL members, and a message from Col. Chris Hadfield.
“We encourage people to bring signs, posters, banners as well as their climate change concerns with our demands and hope for real change to occur so that we can reduce carbon emissions and leave the world a better place for future generations,” a news release noted.
“We demand immediate action by all levels of Canadian government – city, county, provincial and federal to address the escalating crisis by supporting the transition to clean, renewable energy and the creation of a sustainable clean energy economy.”
