A Sarnia Rapid’s swim coach left the pool deck to strike gold at the Ontario Masters Swimming Championships recently.
Competing in the 60-64 age division, Sue Weir won gold in the 100-metre fly, 100m backstroke and 4x50m relay at the Thornhill meet, held March 22-24.
She also won silver in the 50m fly, 100m individual medley, and bronze in the 50m freestyle.
The full-time coach will compete at the Michigan State Championships and the U.S. Masters Spring Championships later this month.
