The Lambton County Archives would love to hear from anyone with vintage footage of Sarnia-Lambton kicking around.
Any 8 mm or other vintage film determined to have local historical significance will be converted to a digital format, with a copy kept at the archives.
The move follows the highly successful screening of film taken of Alvinston in the 1940s that drew 130 people, with two more screening and identification sessions planned.
Old footage offers a unique insight into the past and should be digitized before the fragile film becomes unviewable, said archivist Dana Thorne.
