Balance & Falls Prevention Mini-Fair

Occupational Therapists from Rapids Family Health Team and the West Lambton Community Health Centre will be offering a balance mini-fair from 9 a.m. to noon at 460 Christina St. N. (back entrance). Drop-in, no registration required, free refreshments and door prize draws. Come test your balance and learn new tips to avoid slips, trips and falls.

Kiwanis Meeting - Focus on St. Clair Child and Youth Services

The public is invited to attend a meeting with the Kiwanis Club of Sarnia-Lambton Golden K. Virginia Allen will describe how SCCYS provides mental health services to children and youth and their families and how the staff are managing and adapting to increased demands. “Hybrid” meetings (in person or by Zoom) take place at 9:30 a.m. at the Lochiel Kiwanis Community Centre, 180 College Ave. N. West Lambton Health Centre hosts its virtual Chair Groovin’ Class from Nov. 30 to Dec. 14th at 1 p.m to 2 p.m. through Zoom. Chair groovin’ is a virtual seated chair exercise program designed to get you movin’ and grooving’ to the beat! To register call 519-344-3017 ext. 259.

Facts & Chat

The Strangway Community Centre hosts ‘Facts & Chat’ on “Investing for Income” from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Cost is free; pre-registration is required. Contact Mike Neely at 519-332-0656. Facts & Chats are offered in partnership with various community agencies to provide free informational presentations on a wide variety of topics. They run Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Strangway Community Centre.

Coffee Time

West Lambton Health Centre hosts Coffee Time Fridays from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Cardiac Rehab Site- 460 Christina St N. Parking at the back of the building, off of Maxwell. Join us for coffee and conversation, free of charge, everyone welcome!

Nativity Walk

Join First Christian Reformed Church for the tenth Nativity Walk from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., or on Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. We are showing over three hundred different sets from across the world at First Christian Reformed Church in Sarnia, at the corner of Murphy and Exmouth Street. Members Show

The Lawrence House will host another members' show, "Handmade for the Holidays," opening on First Friday. Colourful, creative and delightful surprises abound! Runs until the end of the month. Poetry Reading

The Lawrence House is welcoming Rhonda Melanson, a local poet and teacher, reading from her second poetry chapbook, "My Name is Mary.” Singer-songwriter Missy Burgess will accompany her the welcoming and Turret Room. Books and CDs will be available for purchase. While at the House, visit the Gift Shop which is brimming with unique items for the holiday season, all created by talented local artists and artisans.

Club Bazaar

St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church hosts its Annual Club Bazaar on from 9:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. at 718 Cathcart Blvd. There will be baked goods, crafts, books, & toys.

Gallery in the Grove

Gallery in the Grove's annual Gifts of the Season continues until Dec. 17. This is a curated event showcasing 16 local artists with a wide range of beautifully handmade pieces. Christmas Dinner Dance

The Sarnia Ballroom Dancing Club is pleased to present its Annual Christmas Dinner Dance at the Sarnia Polish Hall. Candle Making

The Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery is inviting families and members of the public to join them for a fun and festive Cozy Candle Making program. Drop-in on Dec. 3 and 17 between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to learn the craft of traditional candle making. Participants will create a beeswax candle through a wax dipping method and adorn it with colourful modelling wax. This activity is free and fun for all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Documentary Screening

CineSarnia presents Buffy Sainte-Marie: Carry It On at 2 p.m. and Dec 5 at 7:30 p.m. at the Sarnia Library Theatre. A documentary on the trail-blazing career of this Indigenous artist, folk singer and social justice activist.
