Walk-a-Thon
The Helping Hands walk-a-thon (2, 5, or 10km) to raise money for Neighbourlink Sarnia-Lambton, begins at 3 p.m. at Sarnia Christian School followed by a BBQ. The first 25 people to raise $500 receive a new windbreaker jacket. Neighbourlink helps community members in need, through food, food vouchers, gently used beds and bedding, and help in avoiding utility disconnects, rent evictions. Colour & Craft Festival
The annual Lambton Fall & Colour Craft Festival returns to Lambton Heritage Museum Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with local vendors, face painting, broom-making demonstrations and a free, family friendly craft. Halloween Dance

Fall Reforestation Project
Climate Action Sarnia-Lambton (CASL) in cooperation with the City of Sarnia, invites community members to Wiltshire Park, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for the planting of trees, low shrubs and mulching, to help change urban turf into mini-forests. Adults and youth welcome; bring work gloves, shovels and strong footwear. Rain date Oct. 16.
