Three more people have contracted COVID-19 and one more person has died, Lambton Public Health said this morning.

The new fatality is the second resident of Vision Nursing Home to die this week. The virus has now taken nine people who lived at the Wellington Street long-term care home, and 24 in Sarnia-Lambton.

Vision has been trying to contain the outbreak since April 23 and is the last local senior home in lockdown. Twenty-six residents (one more than Tuesday) and 25 staff members have tested positive.

An outbreak at Lambton Meadowview Villa in Petrolia, where one staff member had tested positive, was declared over Tuesday.

Off the 266 COVID-19 cases recorded in Sarnia-Lambton so far, 210 have recovered, up three from Tuesday, Lambton Public Health said.
