Flat Stanley got a sightseeing tour of Point Edward last week, courtesy of Lloyd and Connie Churchill.
Stanley arrived in the mail from the couple’s young niece, Aliyah Hanson, of Winnipeg, as part of a class project to learn about different people and places.
The tour included stops and photo-ops at the Children’s Animal Farm, Point Edward Starlight Casino and Purdy’s Fisheries.
The Flat Stanley Project is a global phenomenal started in 1995 by Grade 3 teacher Dale Hubert of London, Ont. and features travelling paper cutouts based on a popular children’s book of the same name.
