Sarnia will be featured on Global TV nationally on Saturday during an episode of PowerBoat Television.

The show was shot last August during the International Powerboat Festival, when host Steven Bull took a look at the races and participated in the inaugural poker fun-run.

The show is great exposure for both the city’s waterfront and for the poker run, said Michele Stokley, one of the festival’s organizers.

‘Making Waves for Joanne’ is a poker run on water in which participants visit checkpoints and raise money for a scholarship fund created in memory of the late Joanne Klauke-LaBelle, founder of Harmony for Youth.

The Powerboat Festival episode airs Saturday, Jan. 16 at 11 a.m. on Global.

It will be repeated four times in 2016, with the first rebroadcast scheduled for April 16.

The shows can also be seen online at powerboattv.com about 10 days after the TV screening.
