Bluewater Health is seeking assistance from the public in its efforts to protect patients and staff from the Ebola virus.
The hospital is asking all emergency department visitors and patients in Sarnia and Petrolia to stop at the Ebola screening sign at the entrance and await further direction from staff.
Patients with scheduled appointments will be asked about their travel history upon arrival to any hospital clinic.
Anyone with a scheduled appointment and a travel history in the past 30 days to the countries of Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Nigeria and the Democratic Republic of Congo is asked to call the outpatient clinic before coming to the hospital so staff can provide direction, the hospital said.
